# Exact Eats

> Exact Eats is an AI meal-planning app: it generates weekly meal plans around real household constraints (macros, allergies, budget, schedule, pantry contents) and produces deduped, grouped grocery shopping lists. It also exposes an authenticated Agent API and an MCP server so AI assistants can plan meals, swap recipes, manage the pantry, and prepare human-reviewable grocery-order drafts for their users.

- Safety: grocery ordering is draft-only. No endpoint can place an order or charge money; a human reviews every draft.

## Agent API endpoints

- GET /agentCapabilities: public, no auth; lists endpoints and safety policy
- GET|POST /agentSnapshot: full user context (profile, preferences, current plan, shopping list, pantry, favorites)
- POST /generateMealPlan: generate a weekly plan from a prompt (30-90s; 409 if busy, 429 at free limit)
- POST /publishAgentMealPlan: save a user-approved plan (and optional shopping list) to the account
- POST /agentSwapMeal: swap one meal in the active plan, macro-matched (Pro/Family)
- POST /agentUpdatePantry: add / mark used / remove pantry items
- GET|POST /agentShoppingList: current shopping list grouped by category
- POST /createAgentGroceryOrderDraft: human-reviewable grocery draft; never places orders
- POST /createAgentApiKey, GET /listAgentApiKeys, POST /revokeAgentApiKey: key management (Firebase ID token only)
